Instructions:
First, read the 3 agreements, and then fill out the registration form that follows. You may registrer up to 4 children.
Be aware that you must click ‘Submit’ to send your application to us. If it does not submit, then check for any error messages next to the fields to see if you missed a required field, or the like.
Also, when you click ‘Submit’, you will be asked to pay a registration fee for your child(ren). You can pay by credit card or by a PayPal account (if you have one) when you are brought to PayPal. (NOTE: you do not need a PayPal account to pay.)
Once your payment is processed, should receive a confirmation email once registration and payment has been successfully processed. If you do not receive such an email, check that you entered your email address correctly, or if it’s in your Spam folder.
If for some reason your payment is not processed or you have issues when trying to pay, and return to this form, it will not be saved, and you’ll have to try and submit.

Agreement #1 – general policy:
I grant the registrant permission to participate in the GLRR youth programs for the 2024 season. I agree to not hold GLRR or its Officers, Directors, Managers, Coaches or other personnel responsible in the event of an accident or injury to the registrant during any GLRR activity including traveling to or from GLRR activities. I certify that I have read, understand and will abide by the GLRR Youth Policy for 2024. I understand that if the registrant does not attend a race, I am responsible for the race fee. I understand it is my responsibility to use the approved method for cost reimbursement as defined in the GLRR policy for 2024 and agree to file for reimbursement within 30 days after the expense is incurred. Attendance at GLRR events and programs constitute consent to be photographed. Photos and images will not be identified by using full names of the participants.
I give permission, if I cannot be reached by telephone, for the registrant to be treated with X‐rays, sutures or any other treatment deemed necessary by attending Medical Personnel.
Agreement #2 – Race team policy:
Required:
- GLRR Youth Team membership ‐ 1st child, $50, 2nd child, $25, 3rd child, $25.Total capped at $100.
- GLRR Youth registration form – free with GLRR Youth Team membership.
- Signed GLRR Youth Race Team Policy.
- To cover certain expenses, a limited number of scholarships are available for youth athletes. To receive one of these scholarships…
- A written request must be submitted to the Youth Director.
- The request must be approved by the GLRR board.
- Uniforms
- Youth team members must wear the current GLRR singlet available at a cost of $22
- If competing on a relay team, or cross-country team, youth team members must wear all black shorts which can be purchased from GLRR.
- Racers must define which races they will run at least 10days before the race in most cases. If races that are signed up for are not attended, the family will reimburse GLRR for the entry fee if fee was paid by GLRR.
- If it is a medical emergency and the Director is notified that the runner cannot attend the race (email) or a family situation cleared by the Director in writing (email) then the fee will not have to be reimbursed.
- Volunteering – families are expected to volunteer at GLRR youth fundraisers and/or the Baystate Marathon.

- Benefits
- Race Fees for all GLRR authorized races ‐ paid for by GLRR if athlete attends 50% of practices in the current season. School practices will not impact attendance percentage.
- Reimbursement for expenses –
- Each member is responsible for using the GLRR forms on the GLRR web site (https://glrr.net)
- It is the responsibility of the requestor to have all the receipts submitted within 30 days of the expense
- Receipts submitted after 30 days will result in non‐reimbursement
Travel Reimbursement Policy for National Championships requiring qualifying for athletes that have competed in a minimum of 50% of meets in the current season.
- Local ‐ Defined as:
- If the race start time is earlier than noon with up to 2hours travel time (by car),
- If the race start time is noon or later with up to 4 hours travel time (by car) as defined by Google Maps directions from GLRR Office,1934 Lakeview Ave. Dracut, MA

- Expenses covered for number of nights necessary as approved by the Youth Director
- Hotel room per family (up to $100 per night or actual cost if less than $100)

- If greater than 8 hours travel time as defined by Google Maps directions from GLRR Office, 1934 Lakeview Ave. Dracut, MA
- Expenses covered for flight for the athlete (not family) upto $100, unless GLRR board approves higher
- One hotel room per family (up to $100 per night or actual cost if less than $100)

Agreement #3 – Junior Olympics
If my young athlete is selected to, and chooses to, participate in the Junior Olympics, I understand that they must be willing to compete throughout the competition, in the event they qualified for, as they continue to advance.
