Reminder to Sign Up for GP and JJR 10K races

Don’t forget to sign up for the USATF-NE Road Grand Prix. The first race of the series, Super Sunday 4 Miler, is in the books. Next up is the New Bedford Half Marathon (on 3/27) and Frank Nealon Boston Tune-Up 15K (on 3/30).

If you’re not signed up yet and want to run these and other Grand Prix races with GLRR sign up here.

For the Grand Prix, once again we are requiring you to pay a fee of $60.  Once you pay this fee, GLRR will pay the Grand Prix race fees for the entire series.  This fee also shows your commitment to run the series.  If you run all seven races you’ll save about $270 in race fees.  Really run just about any two races and you’re ahead.

So, in addition to the fee, the usual applies to have GLRR pay for your GP race entry fees:

  • You must be a paid up member of GLRR (your membership is at the top right of this email).
  • You must be a USATF member (affiliated with GLRR) to run in the GP series races.
  • Again, you will need to pay $60 as an entry fee for GLRR to pay your Grand Prix race fees (as mentioned above).

Important: To run with GLRR for any or all of the GP races, sign up here.

Don’t go directly to the race registration page.  We’ll group everyone to get any discounts that might apply and send you instructions before the race.

For all you masters runners (age 40 and over), once again the James Joyce Ramble 10K will host the 2024 10K USATF National Masters Championship!!  This race will be held on Sunday, April 28 in Dedham, MA.  If you want to run this masters championship with GLRR, sign up here.  Once again, you have to be a member of GLRR and USATF (w/GLRR) to run this race as part of a GLRR team.  We still need more runners to fill out the teams, so make sure you sign up!!

And while I have your attention, we’re still looking race results from any or all races you run in. Please share you achievements with the club by entering them in this GLRR Race Results Sheet.

Let Glenn and/or I know if you have any questions.

See you on the roads,

Liane
