We have a few races coming up to finish out the 2022 season, so I wanted to share the links with you to help you sign up for these races (especially Mill Cities Relay!!!).   Mill Cities Relay – Sunday, December 4, Deadline to sign up is Nov 18. Sign up for Mill Cities Relay

Mill Cities Relay
It’s time to start planning for the Mill Cities Relay!!    The 2022 Mill Cities Relay will be held on Sunday, December 4th beginning at 8am.  We came in 2nd place in 2021 missing 1st by only 2 points!  However, in 2019 we placed first, so let’s get back to our place as MCR champions and field GLRR’s best and largest number of teams yet!   What is the Mill Cities Relay?  Many regional running clubs belong to the Mill Cities Alliance which form teams in multiple age/gender groups for a relay race from Nashua NH to Lawrence MA, covering more than a marathon’s distance in the process.  While this is a race, and we always like putting together some competitive teams for our speedy runners, this is also one of GLRR's biggest social event of the…

GLRR Club Meeting – Nov. 1, 7PM

Wow, what an amazing weekend! We celebrated OUR runners, runners from all over, wheelchair, pushchair, and duo athletes and a local scholarship at Jennifer's Run all while putting on incredibly well-run races and an expo! Well done!   Just a quick reminder that our October Club Meeting is on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 7 PM (due to Halloween on the last Monday of the month.) That's 2 weeks from today! As usual it will be at Princeton Station, 147 Princeton St., N. Chelmsford, MA.   We have a lot to recap, and I can't wait to welcome new members who signed up wihen they registered for Baystate or at the Expo. Baystate Marathon in just 2 weeks! Volunteers still needed.

Baystate Marathon is less than 2 weeks away on Sunday, October 16!!  Yikes!  We still need volunteers!!  You don't have to be a member of GLRR to volunteer, friends and family members can help out too!   One area where we can use help is to put up (this Sunday, 10/9) and take down (after the marathon) all those "Baystate on Sunday" signs.     We also need lots of help on Marathon Sunday including Course Monitors, directing parking, and helping runners at the finish line to name a few areas.   As you know, Baystate is our main source of income for GLRR, so everyone who participates in any social event or race entry funding by GLRR should volunteer to support Baystate and the club.   Here’s the link to volunteer for…
