Reminder: Our November Club Meeting is about 2 weeks away on Monday, November 27 at 7pm at Princeton Station.    We will have a busy night hearing more about the Mill Cities Relay. It will be a good night to plan car logistics with your team and even discuss strategy. This is also when we get to pick up our Mill Cities Relay bibs.    We will also talk about our Board Positions as we will hold club elections in January. All board positions are open (even if someone is running for reelection.) Please consider taking a more active role in the club whether that be running for a position or joining a committee. GLRR Boston Marathon Waivers for 2024

The club has been informed by the BAA we have received three Invitational Entries (aka waivers) for the 2024 Boston Marathon.   I know many of you are anxious to apply for one of those three waivers.  You can do so by completing this form: GLRR Boston Marathon Waiver Request for 2024 Race   Please note: You must be a current GLRR member in good standing for this year and next year (i.e. dues paid through 2024) You must reside in the Greater Lowell area (per the BAA) Waivers are awarded largely based on volunteering for the club during the year. The more you volunteer, the greater your probability of getting one. Each request will be anonymously reviewed by a panel; the panel assigns a score which is based solely…

Happy Friday!   We have several events to share with the club. Please save these dates, we can't wait to see you then. Saturday, Oct. 28, 8AM: Tomorrow our group run will be Apple Cider themed. Apple cider donuts and cider will be provided by Silvana Morgan and Annette Casco. Feel free to bring any adult mixers, hard ciders, or Halloween candy...or whatever you like. Just remember sharing is caring. Costumes are welcome. We will continue to offer an extra group run at the coop on Thanksgiving morning. In December we will have our annual kids Christmas Party at Altitude in Billerica on Friday, December 1st at 6pm. Santa should be in attendance again this year. It’s time to start planning for the Mill Cities Relay!!    The 2023 Mill Cities Relay will be held on Sunday, December 3rd beginning at 8am.  We came in 2nd place in 2021 and 2022. However, in 2019 we placed first, so let’s get back to our place as MCR champions and field GLRR’s best and largest number of teams yet!   What is the Mill Cities Relay?  Many regional running clubs belong to the Mill Cities Alliance which form teams in multiple age/gender groups for a relay race from Nashua NH to Lawrence MA, covering more than a marathon’s distance in the process.  While this is a race, and we always like putting together some competitive teams for our speedy runners, this is also one of GLRR's biggest social event of the year.  Here, you can…
