Happy Friday!   We have several events to share with the club. Please save these dates, we can't wait to see you then. Saturday, Oct. 28, 8AM: Tomorrow our group run will be Apple Cider themed. Apple cider donuts and cider will be provided by Silvana Morgan and Annette Casco. Feel free to bring any adult mixers, hard ciders, or Halloween candy...or whatever you like. Just remember sharing is caring. Costumes are welcome. We will continue to offer an extra group run at the coop on Thanksgiving morning. In December we will have our annual kids Christmas Party at Altitude in Billerica on Friday, December 1st at 6pm. Santa should be in attendance again this year. Sign up for Mill Cities Relay

Mill Cities Relay
It’s time to start planning for the Mill Cities Relay!!    The 2023 Mill Cities Relay will be held on Sunday, December 3rd beginning at 8am.  We came in 2nd place in 2021 and 2022. However, in 2019 we placed first, so let’s get back to our place as MCR champions and field GLRR’s best and largest number of teams yet!   What is the Mill Cities Relay?  Many regional running clubs belong to the Mill Cities Alliance which form teams in multiple age/gender groups for a relay race from Nashua NH to Lawrence MA, covering more than a marathon’s distance in the process.  While this is a race, and we always like putting together some competitive teams for our speedy runners, this is also one of GLRR's biggest social event of the year.  Here, you can…

Baystate Marathon Volunteers – Reminder to Sign Up!

The 2023 Baystate Marathon is less than 2 weeks away and we still need volunteers!!  Please help and sign up to volunteer.  And if you already signed up (thanks!), maybe consider volunteering for another spot. ;-)   Here's some areas where we still need your help (see the link below for more details and to sign up): We need volunteers to help clean up the course on Saturday, Oct 7 We also need more help putting out the "Baystate Marathon on Sunday" signs next Monday, 10/9 (its a holiday) And of course, we need more Course Monitors! As you know, Baystate is our main source of income for GLRR, so everyone who participates in any social event or race entry funding by GLRR should volunteer to support Baystate and the club.   You…

Baystate Marathon Volunteer – Reminder to Sign Up!

Don't forget to volunteer for the 2023 Baystate Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay which will be held on Sunday, October 15th.   If you can’t volunteer on marathon Sunday, we have other opportunities to volunteer. Here's some areas where we still need your help (see the link below for more details and to sign up): We need volunteers to help clean up the course on Saturday, Oct 7 We also people to help put out the "Baystate Marathon on Sunday" signs on Sunday, Oct 8. And then on Oct 15 after the marathon, we need help taking down the signs.
