Reminder: Our November Club Meeting is about 2 weeks away on Monday, November 27 at 7pm at Princeton Station.
We will have a busy night hearing more about the Mill Cities Relay. It will be a good night to plan car logistics with your team and even discuss strategy. This is also when we get to pick up our Mill Cities Relay bibs.
We will also talk about our Board Positions as we will hold club elections in January. All board positions are open (even if someone is running for reelection.) Please consider taking a more active role in the club whether that be running for a position or joining a committee. There are plenty of jobs to go around. Decide how much time you are able to give and talk to a current board member about ways you can get involved.
As we have mentioned at our Club Meetings, this will be our last Club Meeting available over Zoom. While it was a great tool when it was needed, the new year is a good time to phase it out.
GLRR Gives Back
We are collecting toiletries/home items for The Wish Project. Please bring items to the Coop (1934 Lakeview Ave, Unit #1 Dracut,) on Saturdays between 8-9:30am from Nov. 18 up to and including the Christmas Run/Party on December 23. You can also bring items to our Thanksgiving Run on Nov. 23, 8am at the Coop, or bring them to November’s Club Meeting. Below is a list of needed items from the Wish Project’s Website.

kids’ toothbrushes, kids’ toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, bar soap, body wash, dish soap, baby & kids wash/shampoo, fragrance free baby wipes, plastic shower rings, lightweight clear shower liner, safety 1st childproofing kit, handheld can openers, nylon and stainless-steel kitchen utensils.
We encourage you to explore The Wish Project‘s website and all the donations that are needed if you are able to drop off to them on your own. We are only collecting smaller items that we will be able to manage and drop off.
Thanksgiving Run (arrive by 7:50, sign in, group photo and start running at 8am)
Did you decide not to sign up for a Thanksgiving Day race? Then come put in a few fun miles with us. We will be opening the Clubhouse (aka The Coop) Thanksgiving morning so we can put in a few miles and then socialize for just a bit before heading home to our own festivities. Feel free to bring a breakfast or baked item we can share or wear a turkey hat or other festive items. You may even get to participare in a hula hoop contest after your run!
Don’t forget to renew your membership!
While your membership is valid through Dec. 31, 2023, there is no downside to renewing early. Your new membership will still be valid through Dec. 31, 2024, even when you renew early. It will be one less thing for you to remember and early renewals help us with bookkeeping.
