Hello Runners! The Boston Run Show will be held on March 1-2 at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center in the Seaport! We are excited to have a GLRR booth and are looking for members to volunteer. Volunteers will promote our club and the Baystate Marathon. But don’t worry if you are new or unsure, we will have info cards and give-a-ways to help you. As a volunteer you will get a chance to get to know other club members as well as meet runners from all over. Plan your visit to include volunteer time and time to enjoy the Run Show. Hi Members, Exciting news this year.  We have been selected by the B.A.A. to volunteer at water stop #8 (mile-8 in Natick).  We need 20 volunteers for this assignment.  I know this is very last minute, I apologize.  I thought we had more time, but we only have until Feb 7th for everyone to sign-up through the B.A.A. Do you love cheering at the Boston Marathon? Have you always wanted to be a volunteer with the BAA? We want to support any volunteer time our members are able to give to the running community so we thought we would share some helpful information.   The BAA (Boston Athletic Association) Volunteer registration for the 129th Boston Marathon will open on December 9th, 2024.    There is a high demand for volunteer spots for the Boston Marathon and if you register, you may or may not get picked. No Thanksgiving Day group run from the Coop I did not get any real interest in opening the Coop for a Thanksgiving Day group run after asking in an email and at a club meeting. So, enjoy your Turkey day races, running on your own from home, or taking a well deserved rest day.    Inventory Day this Sat. 11/16 from 9-3:00 I will start around 8:30 and there are a variety of different shifts. There are 2 spots still open and we could always use a few extra hands if you are not signed up but decide to stop by.
