1st Annual Coop Egg Run

Hello Members, Join us for our first ever COOP EGG RUN where running meets treasure hunting!!!!  Date: Saturday, April 19, 2025 Location: 1934 Lakeview Ave, Dracut MA 01826 Time: 8:00AM Come run or walk the 3-mile course with us for a chance at winning a prize!!!!  Your task (if you choose to participate) will be collecting an egg at 3 egg stations on the route. You must then run or walk with all 3 eggs and make it the 3 miles back to the COOP with them!!!!!  When you make it back to the Coop, you will open them in front of one of the volunteers. Do you know a senior in the Greater Lowell area who is part of their high school track or cross-country team? We now have two potential scholarship opportunities for them to apply for. The Greater Lowell Road Runners 2025 Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the 2025 GLRR Scholarship application is now open! This scholarship application is open to high school seniors who: Have run at least two seasons of cross country, indoor track, and/or outdoor track. Are a senior graduating in 2025 And are: Either a current member or child of a current member of GLRR or attend high school or reside in the Greater Lowell Area. And attending college in the fall of 2025. New this year, and open to Tewksbury High School seniors only, is the Ben and Pat Fudge Memorial Scholarship.…

Sign Up for Grand Prix and James Joyce Ramble 10K

Hello Members, Congratulations to everyone who ran the St Paddy's 5K on March 9th!  This was the first race of the USATF-NE Road Grand Prix and we had a great turnout. Special congrats goes to Trish Bourne who came in 1st place in the Women's 60-64 age group and Sharon O'Grady came in 3rd place in Women's 50-54 age group.  Also, congratulations to the duo of John Barbour and Ken Goodin for coming in 1st and 3rd respectively in the men's 70-74 age group and helping our men's 70+ team come in 1st place in their category.  And, welcome to new members of our GLRR team including Cindy Proulx and Mimi Englander who both helped our Women's 60+ team come in 3rd place! Boston Run Show Volunteers

Hello Runners! The Boston Run Show will be held on March 1-2 at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center in the Seaport! We are excited to have a GLRR booth and are looking for members to volunteer. Volunteers will promote our club and the Baystate Marathon. But don’t worry if you are new or unsure, we will have info cards and give-a-ways to help you. As a volunteer you will get a chance to get to know other club members as well as meet runners from all over. Plan your visit to include volunteer time and time to enjoy the Run Show.
