Don't forget to sign up for the USATF-NE Road Grand Prix. The first race of the series, Super Sunday 4 Miler, is in the books. Next up is the New Bedford Half Marathon (on 3/27) and Frank Nealon Boston Tune-Up 15K (on 3/30).     If you're not signed up yet and want to run these and other Grand Prix races with GLRR sign up here.   For the Grand Prix, once again we are requiring you to pay a fee of $60.  Once you pay this fee, GLRR will pay the Grand Prix race fees for the entire series.  This fee also shows your commitment to run the series.  If you run all seven races you’ll save about $270 in race fees.  Really run just about any two races and you’re ahead.   So, in addition to the…

GLRR Hall of Fame Nominations

Each year, the GLRR Hall Of Fame Committee meets in February (well early March this year) to consider worthy candidates for induction into the Greater Lowell Road Runners Hall Of Fame (HOF).  The Hall of Fame dinner is tentatively scheduled for April.  The process is two-part, first the nominations and second the discussion and voting.    The nomination process is open to all members of the Club, as well as the HOF committee.  When the committee meets, they go through each name of nominees and discuss each candidate. You can make your nominations here: https://www.glrr.net/glrr-hall-of-fame-nominations/   Please make your nominations by Wednesday February 28th.   The one area in which we differ from other halls of fame, is that we don't really have "stats" like most other sports do. The Famous GLRR Boston Bus

Are you running Boston on April 15, 2024?  If so, you’ll want to arrive in style with your teammates on the Famous GLRR Boston Bus!   The bus provides for transportation to Hopkinton, and from Boston after the race.  The bus leaves from Cawley Stadium in Lowell at 6:45am (subject to change per the BAA requirements).  Before the race you can use the bus bathroom (to avoid the Hopkinton port-a-johns).  You can leave your gear on the bus as you head to the start line.  Your gear will be transported to Boston.   After you finish, GLRR has reserved rooms at the Park Plaza (less than ½ a mile from the finish area) where your bags, hot showers, massage, post-race food and beverages await.  Relax with your teammates and revel in…
