Saturdays 8:00 AM GLRR Group Run

These runs are on from April 1st through December 31st.
(During January and February the group runs are replaced by the Fudgical 5K series on Saturdays morning in Tewksbury. During March the group runs are training for the Boston Marathon on the Boston course.)

All of the group runs start from the GLRR Office located at 1934 Lakeview Ave.  Unit #1, Dracut, MA.  The unit is under the leasing office.  We have a bathroom.

You do not need to be fast to participate in this group run; all are welcome! There are no set distances or paces.  We usually break up into several groups and do short runs, long runs, fast runs or slow runs.  What ever works for you works for us.

Sundays 8:00AM Non-GLRR Group Run

The time for this run changes as the weather changes. Basically we try to avoid the bitter cold and blistering heat. Check the GLRR Facebook group for the lastest news. Sunday Group Runs from Forever Fitness (formerly Gold’s Gym in Chelmsford (directions).  This is not an official club event. Most of these runs tend to be longer, faster and feature more hills than the club runs.

Here are a few of routes we run:

Tuesdays 6:00 & 6:30 PM Not Good Times Group Run (the NGTR)

This is a continuation of the famous Good Times Race Series. We run this during off season for the Good Times Series. We start in late August and continue until April. Tuesday Night Group Runs from Dudley’s (formerly Hookslide Kelly’s) in downtown Lowell (directions).

When there is enough light we run parts of the Good Times race route and around the river. When the light goes bad, we try the following:
Jim’s Belivdere night run – 5.3 miles

There are quite a few variations of this run, with different groups doing different things.  Some folks start 6 and do an easier more relaxed run.  Many of us start at 6:30 and do a solid 5-7 miles and some of the horses come and run hard.  Come, you’ll find someone to run with.

Wednesday Night Lights  6:00 PM

This is an informal group run on the Bruce Freeman Bike Path in Chelmsford MA.  We meet behind the near Brick House Pizza at 1 Central Square. Any distance, all speeds.  When needed, bring your (head) lights. Post run chilling at Brick House.

    Good morning! I’m coming into town the weekend of June 17 and 18. I’m staying with my brother in Chelmsford. I’m looking to run about 12 miles over the weekend. Question number one, would you allow an outsider to join you for your group runs ? Question two will anyone be running a similar distance?

    Jane,

    We run a variety of distances, depending on pace. I think most people run 4-6 miles. It’s an out and back on the bike path, so going shorter or longer is always an option.
