GLRR was approached to help promote this local race.
My name is Rick A. Barry, I’m the Director of Operations at Trinity EMS Inc. Following the bombings at the Boston Marathon several of Trinity’s employees approached me with the idea to do a 5K road race to benefit the bombing victims from the Greater Lowell area.
We have scheduled the race for June 23rd, 10:00am. Race day registration is at 8:30am at the Lowell Elks Club on Old Ferry Road in Lowell. $25 registration includes T-shirt, if registered by June 16.
I’m reaching out to you to ask that you pass the link below on to members of your running club and anyone else that you think may be interested.
Thank you for your consideration.

We all know this course very well. This is a mostly flat course along the scenic Merrimack River. Course runs from Old Ferry Road to Varnum Ave, to the Pawtucket Blvd along the Merrimack River, back up to Old Ferry Road. Water stops on the course.
Come show your support for this inaugural race and the victims of the marathon bombings.
